Ten proven addresses in Fažana for 2026: a rooftop terrace above the harbour, konobas on the waterfront, two pizzerias and a tapas bar. For each restaurant we list dishes, price range and what guests praise in reviews.
Fažana is a fishing village of fewer than three thousand residents, yet in summer a good part of southern Istria's dining scene turns on its waterfront. The reason is simple. The boats to Brijuni leave from here, so every day thousands of visitors pass through the harbour looking for somewhere to eat before or after the trip. The restaurants have adapted: along the waterfront and on Trg stare škole the terraces line up with views of the islands, while a few steps inland the konobas live off local guests and stay open all year.
This guide for 2026, compiled in September, singles out ten addresses from the jelo.hr database. The first three places go to featured partners, then comes the restaurant jelo.hr recommends, and the rest of the list is ordered by ratings, review counts and type of offer, so that alongside fish konobas you also get pizza, grill and tapas.
For each restaurant we give the location, specific dishes mentioned in sources, the price range and what guests most often praise or criticise in reviews. Nobody from jelo.hr has sat at these tables; the verdict is about the selection and the offer, never the plate.
1. Rooftop Restaurant Fazana, Trg stare škole 6
The best view of the harbour and the Brijuni islands in Fažana, from a roof. Rooftop Restaurant Fazana operates at Trg stare škole 6, in the same building and under the same phone number as Restaurant Korta, so think of it as the upper floor of the same family. The kitchen is Mediterranean and the space is built for large tables: birthdays, weddings and company dinners, though it fills just as easily with couples waiting for the sun to set over the islands.
Reservations go through the form on the website or via WhatsApp, and in summer the terrace requires one. With a 4.9 rating from 107 reviews it is currently the highest-rated restaurant in town, although the review count is still growing.
Guests in reviews highlight the view from the terrace and the room for larger groups; with a 4.9 rating, complaints are rare so far.

4. Trattoria pizzeria Navetta, Dragonja 116
The right choice when you want to escape the waterfront crowds. Trattoria pizzeria Navetta stands on the Dragonja road at number 116, a few minutes' drive from Fažana towards Pula, surrounded by greenery and with its own car park. The concept pairs an Istrian trattoria with a pizzeria: pizza all'italiana, pasta, seafood and grill. The space seats 70 inside and around 200 on the terrace, so it is a regular address for large groups and family celebrations, with live music on summer weekends.
Prices are mid-range, portions generous. With 2,384 reviews and a 4.5 rating it ranks among the busiest restaurants in the area, and jelo.hr recommends it.

5. Pizzeria Bambino, Puljska ul. 5
The best-rated pizza in Fažana, backed by a large sample. Pizzeria Bambino at Puljska ulica 5 is a family restaurant opened in 1997, and alongside pizza made with Italian ingredients it runs a charcoal grill it has kept going for more than 25 years. The menu also covers salads, roast beef and vegetarian and vegan options, including a pizza with vegan cheese. It sits a little away from the beach and the waterfront, so in summer it is calmer than the harbour restaurants.

6. Konoba Vasianum, Ul. Titova Riva 6
The waterfront konoba that guests praise most consistently. Konoba Vasianum at Titova riva 6 stands beside the very jetty where the Brijuni boats leave, and takes its name from the Roman name for Fažana. The cooking is Mediterranean with an Istrian accent: fuži with truffles, seafood tagliatelle, octopus, grilled tuna and mussels. Prices are moderate, roughly 15 to 25 euros per person.
The space is small, about fifty seats inside and forty outside, and it is open daily from noon to 10 pm. With 2,006 reviews and a 4.7 rating this is a konoba where in summer you arrive early or book.

7. Stara konoba, Trg stare škole 1
The classic Fažana konoba with the most reviews on the waterfront. Stara konoba at Trg stare škole 1 works out of a stone house with wooden tables and a seaside terrace, and the menu covers Mediterranean classics: mussels in white wine, seafood pasta, fried fish with chard and potatoes, but also ćevapčići for guests who skip fish. It seats about fifty inside and up to 120 on the terrace, so in season it takes larger groups without notice.
Prices are mid-range. With 2,307 reviews and a 4.3 rating it remains one of the busiest addresses in town, with somewhat more variation in ratings than its neighbours.
Guests in reviews praise the fried fish, the squid and the old-school atmosphere; complaints concern uneven food quality and off-season service.

8. Konoba Ulika, Ul. Ruže Petrović 76
A konoba for guests who value homegrown ingredients over a sea view. Konoba Ulika at Ruže Petrović 76 sits outside the centre and lives off its own production: the family has olive trees and its own oil, the pasta and bread are made in-house, and family members are fishermen with their own boat and licensed hunters. The menu features fish platters, homemade fuži and gnocchi, grilled meat and game from the family's own hunting. Prices are moderate, portions large, parking free, and it is closed on Mondays.
A 4.7 rating from 1,772 reviews speaks of loyal guests, although the critics at Kult plave kamenice judged it harshly in 2022 as an example of impersonal tourist fare.
Guests in reviews highlight the fresh fish platter, the house olive oil with bread and fair prices; complaints target the price of certain dishes relative to quality.

9. Konoba Feral, Boraca 11
The quietest konoba in the centre, with a courtyard terrace instead of a waterfront one. Konoba Feral at Boraca 11 is furnished in fishing style and stays open all year, a rarity in Fažana. The menu is Istrian and Adriatic: fish platters, black risotto, tagliatelle with truffles, grilled squid and fish soup, and in winter maneštra, fuži, gnocchi and homemade sausages. To finish there are fritule and homemade cakes.
It seats about fifty inside and sixty on the terrace. Prices are mid-range, with side dishes and bread charged separately. With 1,143 reviews and a 4.4 rating it is a good choice for a calmer dinner without a sea view.

10. La Bodega, Trg stare škole 9
The only address on the list for tapas and wine instead of a classic lunch. La Bodega at Trg stare škole 9 is conceived as a small tapas and wine bar built on Istrian ingredients: boškarin beef burger, tagliata, carpaccio, octopus salad, meatballs and anchovies. The garden is set back from the waterfront, so it is quieter than the seaside terraces. The menu covers vegetarians as well as guests who want meat or fish.
Prices are a little above the town average. With 788 reviews and a 4.6 rating on Google Maps plus a high placing on TripAdvisor, it is the most frequent recommendation for a long dinner with a bottle of wine.
Guests in reviews highlight the boškarin, the truffles and professional service; complaints concern smaller portions and prices that feel high for tapas.

How to choose a restaurant in Fažana
First decide whether you need the sea in front of you. The terraces on Trg stare škole and Titova riva have the Brijuni view, but also the most guests, the highest prices and, in July and August, a queue for a table. Konobas inland in the village, such as Ulika and Feral, offer a quieter table and often bigger portions for the same money.
Watch the rhythm of the harbour. The Brijuni boats leave in the morning and return in the afternoon, so the restaurants by the jetty are busiest around noon and between 5 and 8 pm. A late lunch around 3 pm or dinner after 9 pm passes without waiting and with more attentive service.
Book for summer. Batana, Korta and Rooftop take online reservations, and Vasianum is small and fills fast. Check whether a place is open off-season: Feral works all year, while many waterfront terraces close in October. Finally, read what guests criticise, not only what they praise; in Fažana the most common complaints are peak-season prices and side dishes charged separately.
