Restoran Mandić

Restoran Mandić is a family restaurant in Jamadol in Karlovac, outside the centre itself. The Mandić family opened a butcher shop in 1980 and the restaurant three years later, and since then all the meat has come from their own butcher shop, sourced from Croatian villages and farms. The house also has a dry-ageing chamber for beef.

The space is rustic, with brick and tiled floors. Guests most often order the Mandić platter and the mixed platter with ajvar (roasted red pepper relish), stuffed vješalice (pork tenderloin), steaks and ćevapi (grilled minced-meat rolls), and to finish, the Mandić pancakes. For a main course with a side dish expect 15–20 € per person, and portions are large. The restaurant also hosts receptions, christenings, weddings and funeral meals.

Open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 11 pm, on Sundays until 8 pm, closed on Mondays. There is a small car park next to the restaurant. Guests most often single out in reviews the quality of the meat, the generous portions and the friendly staff.
