Dvor

Dvor opened in 2013 in Firule, a residential neighbourhood in the southern part of Split, away from the tourist core. The garden under the trees looks out over the sea and the islands, and the restaurant is reached by a walk along the shore from Bačvice or by taxi.

The kitchen is led by chef Vesna Vukman, and the philosophy is traditional Dalmatian dishes in a modern style. The menu changes with the seasons: spring and summer lean on the sea, autumn and winter on the land. Highlights include a ceviche of fish, scampi and scallops, a smoked seafood risotto with aged-parmesan ice cream, and osso buco with roast potatoes.

Gault&Millau rates the restaurant 16 out of 20 points, and it is also listed in the Michelin Guide. Reservations are required for both lunch and dinner, especially for tables in the garden. Guests most often mention in reviews the view, the calm of the garden and the service.
