La Štruk

La Štruk operates on Skalinska street in Zagreb, between Tkalčićeva and Dolac, and for more than ten years has served nothing but zagorski štrukli (Zagorje cheese-filled pastry): hand-stretched dough with fresh cheese, boiled or baked. The menu fits on a single board.

The savoury versions are cheese, truffle, smoked paprika and pumpkin seed, with a gluten-free option; the sweet ones are walnut with honey, apple with cinnamon and blueberry. It is open every day from 11 am to 10 pm. The most sought-after seats are in the hidden courtyard behind the house, so in season there is a wait for a table.
