Stari Kotač

Stari Kotač on Petrovaradinska street in Prečko was founded by Julija Ivić in 1982, and she ran it for almost four decades. The current owners took it over just before the pandemic, modernised the space and in 2023 opened a branch on Medulićeva.

The meat is cooked on a charcoal grill; the minced meat is lower in fat and never frozen. Besides ćevapi (grilled minced-meat rolls) and pljeskavice (grilled minced-meat patties), the menu includes ražnjići (meat skewers), stuffed pljeskavice and beef fillet stuffed with cheeses and pršut (dry-cured ham). Prices are neighbourhood-level: šiš ćevap (a large skewered ćevap) 4.05 € per piece, the "šarena" stuffed pljeskavica 12.50 €, stuffed beef fillet 39.80 €.

It is open every day from 10 am to 10 pm, and has parking, delivery and a terrace. On weekdays around 2 pm the place is full, so without a reservation there is a short wait. Guests most often mention in reviews the ćevapi with cheese, the stuffed pljeskavica, the bread and the portions.
