Quandoo alternative for restaurants: what to choose before 30 September 2026
Quandoo takes reservations until 30 September 2026 and shuts down completely on 31 December. What the market charges, with sources, what jelo.hr offers for a fixed monthly fee, and how the switch works.
Quandoo stops accepting new reservations on 30 September 2026 and shuts down its website, app and infrastructure on 31 December 2026. That is stated on the quandoo.de homepage and in the official notice at quandoo.de/important-update (as of 10 September 2026). If your restaurant receives reservations through Quandoo, you need a new system running before the end of September and your data exported before the end of December.
This guide compares what is publicly offered to restaurants in Croatia in September 2026, with prices and sources, and explains what jelo.hr does, what it costs and who it is not for.
The deadlines you need to know
- 30 September 2026 — last day for new reservations through Quandoo. According to the trade portal Tageskarte (1 April 2026), restaurant partner contracts end automatically on that day and do not need to be cancelled.
- 1 October 2026 — all consumer services end. Reservations guests have already made for dates after 30 September remain valid, and the restaurant receives their details (quandoo.de/important-update).
- 31 December 2026 — complete shutdown. Data exports are available until that date (Tageskarte, 1 April 2026).
Quandoo charges no fees from 1 April to 30 September 2026 (same source), so the shutdown creates no extra cost. It only creates a deadline. The step-by-step order is in our guide Quandoo is shutting down: deadlines and a five-step plan.
What to ask of a replacement
Before you look at price lists, write down what the system must do on a Saturday night when the terrace is full and the phone is ringing. In practice restaurants need:
- a reservation the guest makes alone, without calling, that reaches staff immediately on a tablet or phone
- a table plan with capacities by zone, so the system does not accept 40 guests for a 24-seat terrace
- an automatic confirmation and reminder to the guest, because that is what cuts no-shows most
- a guest database that stays with you and that you can take with you
- a clear cost that does not grow with the number of guests
What the market offers in September 2026
The figures below come from public price lists, checked on 10 September 2026.
- DISH Reservation (Metro). In Croatia €25 per month plus a one-time €50 activation fee, excluding VAT. The DISH Premium bundle, which adds ordering and a website, costs €45 per month on a 12-month contract or €49 with no commitment, plus €250 setup (dish.co/HR/hr).
- Eat App. The Lite plan is $69 per month billed annually or $99 billed monthly; Core $159 or $199; Pro $299 or $389. The free version is limited to 100 guests per month (restaurant.eatapp.co/pricing).
- TheFork Manager. Reservations that arrive through TheFork and partner channels carry a fee expressed as a percentage of your average bill per guest; reservations from your own website, Instagram and Facebook are included without commission. The percentage is not published and pricing is available on request (theforkmanager.com/en-gb/pricing).
- OpenTable. Works on a similar model: a subscription plus a fee per seated guest for reservations arriving through its network. We could not confirm specific amounts for Croatia on the public page, so we do not quote them.
The gap between those two models, a fixed subscription and a fee per guest, can exceed the price of the system itself over a year. The calculation is in the guide A reservation system without a per-guest fee.

What jelo.hr offers and what it costs
Jelo.hr charges a fixed monthly price and nothing per guest or per reservation:
- Start, €29 per month — restaurant website, online reservations and a basic table plan.
- Pro, €59 per month — adds a regular-guest database, guest reminders, analytics and offers for quiet slots.
- Pro+, €79 per month — everything in Pro plus a physical tablet configured for your venue, a staff tablet mode and priority support.
- Activation, €99 one-time — system setup, website creation, reservation configuration, email notifications and one language. Each additional language costs €25.
The subscription has a minimum term of six months. Before that you can use all Pro functions free for seven days, no card required. Setup is done in one day, and the system runs on a computer, tablet or phone with no extra equipment. Current terms are on the pricing page.
What you get, function by function:
- Online reservations 24 hours a day, with a free-table check before confirmation and up to three alternative times offered when the requested slot is taken.
- Table plan by zone (terrace, dining room, VIP), with minimum and maximum guests per table, table blocking by date and a fill priority.
- Automatic notifications: an email confirmation to the guest immediately, a reminder the day before, and a notification to staff for every new reservation.
- Regular guests: visit count, notes and preferences for every guest who has reserved.
- Digital menu in Croatian, English, German and Italian, reachable by QR code on the table.
- Staff access: waiters and the floor manager see reservations and tables without access to the whole admin area.
- Restaurant website with menu, photos, contact and reservations, on your own domain if you have one.
How the switch from Quandoo works
- Export your data from Quandoo now. The guest database and every reservation for dates after 30 September. The deadline is 31 December 2026, but in December every other Quandoo restaurant is doing the same.
- Activate the new system before 30 September. Setup on jelo.hr takes one day: opening hours, zones, tables, capacities and reservation rules.
- Enter the October and November reservations into the new system and send those guests a new confirmation. They do not know the system they booked through is closing.
- Replace the links. The button on your website, the link in your Instagram and Facebook bios, your Google Business Profile and the QR codes on tables.
- Train the staff and run both systems side by side for the first week, comparing the lists every evening.

Who jelo.hr is not for
If most of your guests came from Quandoo's marketplace in Germany or Italy, jelo.hr does not replace that traffic. The guest visibility jelo.hr adds on top of the system is in Croatia, on the Jelo restaurant map, and it is strongest in tourist destinations where guests search for where to eat. The reservation, table and guest system itself works regardless of location.
If you run without reservations and everything is walk-in, you do not need a reservation system, ours or anyone else's. And if a deep integration with your POS or hotel system is a condition, check that with us before signing, not after.
Next step
Fewer than three weeks remain until 30 September. If you want to see how the system would look with your tables and your menu, get in touch through the contact page. If cost is your main question, the figures by plan are on the pricing page.
