Ribarska Koliba moves to JELO PRO: a new website and table bookings with no middleman

A restaurant with more than a century of tradition in Verudela, Pula, recommended by the MICHELIN Guide, now has a new website in three languages and table bookings through JELO PRO. Here is what we did for them.

In Verudela, Pula, where the pine forest runs down to the marina, Ribarska Koliba has stood for more than a hundred years. It began as a restaurant where Austrian officers took their lunch; later, both Tito and Nasser sat at its tables. Today it is a resort with a restaurant, 26 rooms, a pool, the Vertigo rooftop bar and three villas by the beach. The restaurant holds a MICHELIN Guide recommendation, and in 2026 The New York Times described it as a century-old seafood restaurant right on the harbour.

A house like this does not change its system lightly. That is why we are especially glad that Ribarska Koliba placed its trust in us and moved to JELO PRO. Thank you for that. Below is everything we did for them, step by step.

A new website on their own domain

Ribarska Koliba got a completely new website at its own address, www.ribarskakoliba.com. The old website was only in English and German; the new one is in Croatian, English and German, with 141 pages in total. It includes:

the restaurant, the menu and the history of the house,
all of the resort's rooms and apartments plus three villas (Villa Maria, Villa Stella Adria and Villa Rosa), each unit on its own page,
weddings, private events and the Vertigo rooftop bar,
galleries, a blog with guides for guests, FAQs and legal pages.

The design is calm and elegant, in keeping with the character of the house, and it works just as well on a phone as on a computer. At the top of the homepage is drone footage that we further processed so it plays smoothly, without stuttering.

We handled the move to the new address so that nothing stopped working. Ribarska Koliba's email ran the whole time without interruption, and old addresses from the previous website automatically lead to the matching new pages. That way, guests coming from Google or from saved links never land on an empty page.

Table booking directly on the website

The most important change is table booking. Guests now book directly on the Ribarska Koliba website, and the booking arrives in JELO PRO instantly, with no middleman and no per-guest commission.

Time slots based on opening hours. Guests only see the times when the restaurant is open for guests. Closed days, such as Mondays outside the season, are not even offered.
A calendar up to a year ahead. Besides quickly picking one of the next few days, guests can open the calendar and choose a month, for example for a dinner arranged months in advance.
Groups of 9 or more do not book directly but send an enquiry, so the restaurant can prepare a group menu for them.
Special requests, such as a table on the terrace, are entered by the guest right with the booking.
Email confirmation in the guest's language. Guests receive their confirmation in Croatian, English, German, Italian or Polish.

On the tablet in the restaurant, instantly

Ribarska Koliba's staff follow bookings in Restaurant Mode on a tablet. Every new booking pops up immediately, with a sound alert. A waiter confirms or declines it with one tap, and can seat it at a table straight away.

The table plan shows what is free and what is taken. When guests leave early, the table is freed with one tap. Guests also receive an email when the restaurant confirms their booking.

Weddings, events and accommodation

Ribarska Koliba hosts weddings for up to 120 guests, by the pool or on the rooftop terrace. Enquiries for weddings and private events arrive from the website straight into their inbox, with the date, number of guests and occasion, and replies go directly to the guest.

Accommodation booking still runs through their existing system for rooms and villas. On the new website it is linked from every room and villa page, with date selection and a promo code for direct booking.

A profile on jelo.hr and on the Gastro Map

Ribarska Koliba also has its own profile on jelo.hr and is marked on the Gastro Map, where guests find it alongside other restaurants in Pula. The profile links directly to their new website.
